Lionsgate has dropped a fun new red band trailer for The Hitman’s Bodyguard, the upcoming action-comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson.

The film tells the story of a top bodyguard (Reynolds) who’s called upon to protect a hitman (Jackson) that he’s clashed with for years. They are forced to put their differences aside to take down a merciless Eastern European dictator (Gary Oldman).

We could be in for a good bit of non-PC fun if this new trailer is any indication. Reynolds and Jackson look to bounce off each other well, the action looks pretty slick and there’s a wild, confident tone. Fingers crossed.

Aussie director Patrick Hughes (Red Hill, The Expendables 3) directs from a screenplay by Fire with Fire scribe Tom O’Connor.

The Hitman’s Bodyguard, also starring Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung, and Richard E. Grant, will open in the US on
