Check out the teaser trailer that Netflix has released for The Irregulars, an upcoming crime-drama fantasy series that offers up another angle on classic detective character Sherlock Holmes.

The 8-episode series is set in Victorian London and follows a gang of troubled street teens who find themselves solving crimes for the, wait for it, sinister Doctor Watson (played by The Witcher actor Royce Pierreson) and his elusive business partner, one Sherlock Holmes (played by Killing Eve actor Henry Lloyd-Hughes). Oh, and it isn’t just a killer here and there, but crimes with a horrifying supernatural edge. When a dark power emerges, it’ll be up to the Irregulars to come together to save not only London but the entire world.

The series is created by Tom Bidwill, who wrote the 2018 animated mini-series adaptation of Watership Down. It certainly has the potential to be another hit, ticking off a number of boxes that seem to make for popular shows: mystery, teens in peril, supernatural elements, and, you know, the Sherlock of it all.

The Irregulars, also starring Clarke Peters, Thaddea Graham, Darci Shaw, Jojo Macari, McKell David, Harrison Osterfield, Sheila Atim and Aidan McArdle, will be streaming on Netflix from March 26th.
