Warner Bros. has released the very first trailer for The Legend of Tarzan, the upcoming picture led by Margot Robbie and Alexander Skarsgård.
The film sees Tarzan (Skarsgård) living his life with Jane (Robbie) in London. He’s thrust back into action thanks to the evil plans set in motion by Captain Leon Rom (Waltz), who probably shouldn’t underestimate the Lord of the Apes now that he’s back in the Congo.
Directed by David Yates, who was at the helm of the last four Harry Potter films, this new take on the tale of Lord Greystoke looks decidedly epic, with special effects galore and big set pieces aiming to lock it in as a big-screen blockbuster. Thankfully, it looks to have a fun tone as well. The cast is impressive, too, even if we’re getting a little tired of Waltz’s bad guy antics.

The Legend of Tarzan, also starring Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt, and Casper Crump, opens in the U.S. on July 1, 2016.
Synopsis for The Legend of Tarzan:
It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.
