Sony Pictures has unveiled the very first red band trailer for The Night Before, the upcoming comedy starring Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie.
The Night Before tells of three buddies who have spent every Christmas Eve together since one of them lost his parents. Adulthood is here, and since responsibility looks to be rearing its ugly head, the gang decides to celebrate one last Christmas Eve by hitting up the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties.
The appeal of The Night Before no doubt depends wholly on your opinion of the Rogen-team (Rogen also produces, This Is the End co-director Evan Goldberg produces and co-writes), so we can’t wait. This looks great, and we’re digging the fact that Mackie’s on board as part of the key cast.
There doesn’t look to be much new here, the fight against growing up and embracing responsibilities is a theme tackled over and over, but the fun tone and great cast provide confidence in a fun night out.
The Night Before reunites Rogen and Gordon-Levitt with 50/50 director Jonathan Levine, who also directed the amusing zom-com Warm Bodies.
The Night Before, also starring Lizzy Caplan, Jillian Bell, Michael Shannon, and Mindy Kaling, hits the U.S. on November 25.
