‘There’s Someone Inside Your House’ Trailer Unveils a Netflix Slasher Horror Film Produced by James Wan

Netflix

The official trailer has arrived for There’s Someone Inside Your House, a slasher-horror film heading to Netflix in October.

We follow Makani Young (Sydney Park, The Walking Dead), who’s moved from Hawaii to small-town Nebraska to stay with her grandma and finish up high school. Well, bad times ahead. A killer, wearing a life-like mask of each victim’s face, begins taking out her classmates and exposing their dark secrets to the town. Does Makani have a secret of her own?

Looks like a potentially fun, knowingly familiar slasher; a throwback of sorts to films like I Know What You Did Last Summer. Based on the novel of the same name by Stephanie Perkins, the film is directed by Patrick Brice (Creep, Creep 2) and written by Shazam! scribe Henry Gayden. The film boasts some big-name producers, including filmmaker James Wan and Stranger Things EP Shawn Levy.

There’s Someone Inside Your House, also starring Théodore Pellerin, Asjha Cooper, Dale Whibley, Jesse LaTourette, Diego Josef, Burkely Duffield, Sarah Dugdale, and William MacDonald, will be streaming on Netflix from October 6th.

Official synopsis for There’s Someone Inside Your House:

Makani Young has moved from Hawaii to quiet, small-town Nebraska to live with her grandmother and finish high school, but as the countdown to graduation begins, her classmates are stalked by a killer intent on exposing their darkest secrets to the entire town, terrorizing victims while wearing a life-like mask of their own face. With a mysterious past of her own, Makani and her friends must discover the killer’s identity before they become victims themselves. THERE’S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE is based on Stephanie Perkins’ New York Times best-selling novel of the same name and written for the screen by Henry Gayden (Shazam!), directed by Patrick Brice (Creep) and produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster (The Conjuring) and Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps (Stranger Things).
