A couple of Mission: Impossible 7 crew members got one hell of a talking to from star Tom Cruise.
An audio recording (listen to it below) from the London set of the next Mission: Impossible film has been released by British news outlet The Sun, revealing the angry tirade Cruise delivered to cast members that broke the production’s COVID protocols.
“If I see you do it again, you’re f***ing gone!” Cruise yelled after witnessing two members of the crew breaking social distancing rules, standing within two metres of each other. “And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever f***ing do it again.”
Cruise, who is also one of the film’s producers, has reportedly been working hard to ensure health protocols are in place and enforced in order to complete production. The new Mission: Impossible film has had a bumpy shoot so far. The massive project was days from shooting in Venice back in February when the pandemic hit hard, forcing the shoot to shut down for an extended period. Production has so far traversed Italy, Norway and London.
The actor is certainly emotional in the recording – and understandably so. “No apologies!,” Cruise told the crew members. “You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down. It’s not going to put food on their table or pay for their college education. That’s what I sleep with every night. The future of this f***ing industry!”
Mission: Impossible 7, directed by Christopher McQuarrie and also starring Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, and Hayley Atwell, among others, is scheduled for Australian release on November 18th and US release on November 19th, 2021.
