Hilarious Trailer for What We Do in the Shadows

The first trailer has been released for What We Do in the Shadows, a vampire comedy from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. This marks Waititi’s follow-up feature after his fantastic coming-of-age dramedy Boy, and it looks fantastic. What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary that sees a documentary crew following the lives of Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) – three flatmates, who happen to be vampires. The trailer certainly provides some laughs, with a deadpan approach that Waititi and Clement have come to embrace. There seems to be a Flight of the Conchords vibe going on, which will no doubt attract fans of Clement and Waititi’s work. Something tells us that there’s an executive somewhere in Hollywood watching this and thinking one thing: remake.
