Warner Bros. has dropped the trailer for Unforgettable, an upcoming thriller starring Katherine Heigl and Rosario Dawson.
Heigl plays a woman who sets out to make life hell for her ex-husband’s new wife, played by Dawson. It’s certainly a familiar type of soapy thriller, but the two leads do seem to be putting in some fun work. Check out the spoiler-ish trailer below, showing Heigl’s scenery-chewing character go from jealous ex to knife-wielding lunatic and Dawson’s pushed to the limit as her past comes back to haunt her.
This marks the directorial debut for producer Denise Di Novi, whose credits include Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Crazy, Stupid, Love, and Focus. David Johnson (The Conjuring 2) and Christina Hodson (Shut In) have penned the screenplay.
Unforgettable arrives in Australia on April 20 and hits US cinemas on April 21, 2017.
Synopsis for Unforgettable:
Heigl stars as Tessa Connover, who is barely coping with the end of her marriage when her ex-husband, David (Stults), becomes happily engaged to Julia Banks (Dawson)—not only bringing Julia into the home they once shared but also into the life of their daughter, Lilly (Isabella Rice). Trying to settle into her new role as a wife and a stepmother, Julia believes she has finally met the man of her dreams, the man who can help her put her own troubled past behind her. But Tessa’s jealousy soon takes a pathological turn until she will stop at nothing to turn Julia’s dream into her ultimate nightmare.
