‘Vikings: Valhalla’ Trailer: It’s Vikings vs the English in Netflix’s Epic Sequel Series

Netflix has released the teaser trailer for Vikings: Valhalla, the upcoming follow-up to the original Vikings series that kicked off with legendary Norse hero and notorious scourge Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel).

Valhalla is set over a hundred years after the end of the original series, now chronicling the adventures of legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter). The series will focus on the escalating tensions between the Vikings and the English as they clash over their conflicting Christian and pagan beliefs. The battle for survival and glory will take the Vikings on an epic journey across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond.

The series comes from creator, executive producer and showrunner Jeb Stuart, perhaps previously best known for co-writing Die Hard and The Fugitive. The EP team also includes Vikings creator Michael Hirst, Morgan O’Sullivan, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer, and Paul Buccieri.

Also starring Bradley Freegard, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Caroline Henderson, Laura Berlin, and David Oakes, among others, Vikings: Valhalla will be streaming on Netflix from February 25th.
