Watch a Penguins of Madagascar Mockumentary: Cumberbatch Masters the Wolf

“Of course, many hours spent with canine animal studies,” jokes Benedict Cumberbatch, speaking of his voice work in Madagascar spinoff film Penguins of Madagascar. “I’ve perfected my poodle, I’ve tried to get in the rough ball park of the pitbull, but I’ve never had to do a wolf before.”

Check out this new “mockumentary” released to promote DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming film, which features an all-star voice cast that includes Cumberbatch, John Malkovich and Ken Jeong. And boy, did they get into their characters.

The spinoff focuses on penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private as they join forces with undercover organization The North Wind to stop the villainous Dr. Octavius Brine from destroying the world.
