The first Jurassic World trailer has arrived.
From executive producer Steven Spielberg, the fourth chapter in the franchise sees the park envisioned by Richard Attenborough’s John Hammond fully realised.
We get a decent amount of carefully selected footage in the first trailer, revealing further details on the film’s plot. No prizes for guessing that chaos ensues not long after one of our young lead characters visits the park, but we’re not sure how we feel about the key threat being “a genetically modified hybrid”. There are plenty of threats able to be driven home with regular dinosaurs, but the filmmakers obviously thought they weren’t extreme enough.
Still, it’s a fun trailer, and the tone shines through. Chris Pratt continues to cement his new-found action hero stylings and Bryce Dallas Howard looks to suit her role as a scientist playing God.
Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley join the team as fellow producers
