Lionsgate has unveiled a new trailer for Wonder, the upcoming inspirational drama starring Jacob Tremblay (Room), Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson.
Based on the bestselling novel by R.J. Palacio, Wonder tells of Auggie Pullman (Tremblay), a young boy that has been kept from attending a mainstream school due to the facial differences he was born with. Now, as Auggie enters the local fifth grade, he, his family, his classmates, and the community as a whole find themselves on a learning path for the (hopefully) better.
It’s certainly a touching story, one that will no doubt benefit from having the talented Tremblay in the lead. Apart from having reliable players such as Roberts and Wilson as his parents, there’s a solid creative team that includes The Perks of Being a Wallflower helmer/writer/author Stephen Chbosky as director. Chbosky also co-wrote the screenplay with Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) and Jack Thorne, the latter of whom is attached as co-writer on Star Wars: Episode IX.
Check out the new trailer, which showcases the song “Brand New Eyes” by Bea Miller.
Wonder, also starring Mandy Patinkin and Daveed Diggs, will be hitting U.S. cinemas on November 17 and arrives in Australia on November 30.
