A big new trailer has dropped for Wonder Woman 1984, unveiling a good amount more from the Gal Gadot-starring sequel.

We head to the ’80s in Diana Prince’s next chapter, which finds the Amazonian superhero facing two major villains: Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and Barbara Minerva/Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) – and here we get our first big look at the latter.

WW84 is looking like a lot of fun. Plenty of lively, colourful action on display, with some light humour from its charming cast, which includes Chris Pine, thankfully back as Steve Trevor. Wonder Woman was a solid DC film and was arguably the first film in Warner Bros’ unfolding DC movie universe that received general appraise across the board. Fingers crossed the sequel follows suit.

Wonder Woman 1984, with Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins back at the helm, will be hitting Australian cinemas on October 1st and US cinemas on October 2nd.
