According to THR, upcoming comedy Keeping Up With The Joneses has recently attracted stars Zach Galifianakis and Jon Hamm. Both actors have extensive fan bases, for whom this is very exciting news. Galifianakis is well known for his role in The Hangover franchise and is currently well in the spotlight after having US President Barak Obama feature in his comedy project Between Two Ferns. Jon Hamm has earned himself a Golden Globe for his part in the television series Mad Men. The pair will appear together for the first time in this film.
The story follows a regular suburban couple that begin to suspect that their equally ordinary neighbours are in fact undercover agents. It’s a project that has been in the works for producers Walter Parkes (Gladiator) and Laurie MacDonald (Catch Me If You Can) for a few years. Keeping Up With The Joneses was picked up by Fox 2000 relatively recently.
Director Greg Mottola has signed on to direct the film. He is no stranger to comedy after his successes with Superbad (2007), Adventureland (2009) and Paul (2011).
Galifianakis and Hamm are still negotiating their deals. However with such names already attached to the project fantastic things are expected to come. Hopefully.
